Generally the upcoming Bank Holiday weekend hails the end of the summer, marked for us by Notting Hill Carnival, where the last remaining sunshine gathers itself together for one almighty goodbye blow out. Nowadays however, the summer seems to dip off a bit earlier than usual, returning for an Indian summer that ventures into September.
