Some big things have been goin on in the world of our Irish bredren DROKKR recently. He has EPs on the way for (about to launch) Scottish label Urge Mode and also Badman Press Recordings. The track Big Drink is very different to any thing that he has produced in the past. 100bpm anyone? This will be out sometime in June with label owner DZ on duty for the remix. Here is a clip...

You can catch the lego headed heavyweight alongside our very own Monky plus Pangaea, Central Spillz, Magenta and Adam Corner at Cardiff Arts Institute on May 21st.

DROKKR is a fan of the filth and no doubt about it. The Irish diplomat for Dubstep just sent us a weighty bunch of grinding, c**t funking Dubz that are plain evil. But despite this outward show of darkheartedness he is a generous soul beneath and so he has given us this exclusive track to share with all you horrible lot to get down like a dungeon to.

We may not have much to write from our recent trip to Ireland except idle gossip and a couple of amusing anecdotes which would be better placed elsewhere to these pages, but it does give us a tenuous enough excuse to present these tracks from Drokkr, an Irish Dubstep producer we've had our eye on for a while. Always wondered if there might be something rather dark and pent up underneath the easy going Irish exterior and these tracks certainly go some way to answering that. Drokkr shall be playing at the Black Swan in Bristol tonight if you happen to be in the area.
