The unstoppable Sydney based duo KillaQueenz finally drop their debut album on Grindin this Friday (June 5th).

Sistarhood includes a number of notable guest vocal and production slots from fellow Aussie artists such as Spit Syndicate, Ru C.L., Vida Sunshyne, Katalyst and M-Phazes, but for us the stand out track has to be the lead single which sees the mighty South Rakkas Crew on the beats and British Bashment bad gyal Lady Chann (Suncycle / Yes King) on the hook.

Which also gives us a great excuse to post up a copy of Lady Chann's mixtape which we've been meaning to share with you for a while now, ever since we grabbed it off her twitterings. Also, if you haven't picked up her dangerous UK Funky track Your Eye Too Fast (produced by Sticky) then sort it out. Fiyah indeed!

Mr Nice and co horts CJ and Darggy Darg from outta Luton drop a huge Bashment meets Hip-hop track, taking Pharoahe Monch's chorus (also used by Styles P on a track of the same name) and flipping it to good effect.

Also, look out for a stunning Don Leisure remix of DEFine's 48Hrs, which features the other Mr Nice himself Howard Marks. It's due to drop on the Subconscious label later in the year.

Toddla T is one of the brightest and certainly bashiest of new digital beat bringers in the UK at the moment. First signs are good with a hot new single just dropped called Manabadman which features Brum born bashment emcee Serocee on the vocals, firing off like Lieutenant Stitchie in his prime, whilst Trigganom (not to be confused with South West UK rapper Triggadon as I did briefly) bounces round the flipside riddim 1965 Dubplate like Tigger’s tail on a Space Hopper, grab it now.

Sub Swara do a fine selection in digital riddims. From the big and bashie to the low and rolling with the added injection of live instrumentation such as Tabla, flute and horns which often give their tracks a kinda tribal mystical feel and lends the music a beautiful juxtaposition of organic and electronic.

The crew run a club night in New York and the music seems to be a natural extension of that, although their album Coup D’Yah definitely takes it beyond the club and into the psyche with 12 tracks of sheer bass driven beauty of varying persuasions.
