The guys over at Mallabel Music just hit us with this beastly exclusive, a big chunk-stomping Glitch-hop remix of NOX's 'Gimme My Focken Diamonds' by Oregon beat muncher Konekta. Grab it now and head over to their site for a more indepth excursion into the Konekta sound.
Always taking things one step further, High Rankin uses rather ungentlemanly tactics in his latest beatdown by kicking you in the face whilst your down on the floor laughing. Bastard. The punches come thick and fast too but to perhaps soften the blow or maybe as the coup de grace on his UFC style mix, he is giving away the first track here as a free download. It's not quite a consolatory pint but it does make the big man come off as a fairly decent chap. Kinda like Nino Brown giving away free turkeys at Christmas in New Jack City... oh yeah he's also re-launching his label Suicide Dub with a compilation of his dodgy mates. The music's amazing but you wouldn't want them round your nan's house.

A new Fre-Release blog-label called Scattermusic have just dropped an exceptional offering from Brazillian baille-tech producer Edu K. As well as the original big but minimal (ah we love a good contradiction in our tunes) cheeky double header of Ja, Mann! and Jumpin n Pumpin there's a bunch of remixes in various flavours from: Mom & Dad; Slap & Dash; Dubbel Dutch; WILDLIFE!; and Femme En Fourrure not to mention this excellent bashy riddim from Aussie based producer Lewis CanCut with the choice of two vocalists riding on top.

And lastly but never ever least, Chew Fu gets us ready for the weekend with some straight up big dancefloor remixes that he cooks up so well, including his very own funked up House version of Purple Rain with Steve Clisby bravely taking over Prince on the vocals (and doing a pretty good job of it too).

Couldn't let one of our favourite Hip-hop crews ever drop a free EP without putting up a link for you guys at least. Slug is one of the few rappers left who can pluck those emotional strings better than many of the singers out there.
Big and brutal with a sideline in bounce is the general order of the day with this Dubstep mix from Stenchman although there is moments of depth and reflection which stop it from being too relentless.... still damn stinkin'though.
We still haven't stopped rinsin' the last Dubstep bootleg of Super Sharp Shooter (Zeno's Blazin, it's on our latest Mix which you can pick up from here on Monday) that Sub.Mission sent us, when they hit us with these absolutely gargantuan versions of Prodigy's Voodoo People and Bone Crusher's Never Scared from another member of the Denver Dubstep fraternity, Dismal Futuresthat come stomping over the soundsystem like Godzilla on a Crystal Meth come down.
Big Shout to Luminfire over at Ants In My Trance for hitting us up with this version of Crookers' What Up Y'all from rapper 607 out of Little Rock. Previous 607 tracks have apparently included samples from the likes of Röyksopp, King Crimson, Mylo, Robyn, Björk, Tangerine Dream, Zero 7, Crash Test Dummies, Britney Spears, Chicago, Fiona Apple and Basement Jaxx which definitely interests our pallettes, and this remix puts an already dope track firmly in our firing line. For more information head over to theAIMT blog.
With artists such as Cappo, Scor-zay-zee, The P Brothersand Joe Buddah, Nottingham was always one of the leading cities in the UK Hip-hop scene, but recently there's been a few Dubstep producers from the area that have been catching our ears. One of them is Ill Boding who made the leap from Hip-hop to Dubstep within the last year or so and has just dropped a duttyfied 5 track EP (plus Intro) which he's passing out for free from his Myspace (or you can grab it below). At the moment he's on the look out for MCs to collaborate with and these solid productions would owe themselves nicely to that so if you're on that vibe then make sure you hit him up. He's also working on a joint project with fellow Notts artists Crackertoa, N.A.T. and Klassic so we shall be looking out for that one in future for definite. Here's a couple of our choice cuts from the EP. If you want the whole thing then grab it here.
After a few says of quiet from us it’s time for some major catch up. First up is this killer Tek-step track from, erm… Tek Step. Another big jam from the Amsterdam badman. Techy, glitchy grindin’ Dubstep at its finest.
This excellent collaboration between[Adult Swim] and Ghostly International was originally released early last year but seeing as we weren’t up and running back then and they’ve just decided to re-release it both digitally and as a free CD when you spend over $20 at the Ghostly International store seems a perfect opportunity for us to upload some of our favourites from the album.
First up is this wicked version (not strictly a remix as he hasn't taken any samples from the original) of Robert Miles' 'Children' from HxdB that took me back to being young and dancing all night to dodgy trance music on cheap speed... thanks for that.
Next is a fairly new Dubstep producer (in that he's recently moved to Dubstep from Hip-hop) called Ill Boding. He's obviously still developing a sound but definitely has some potential.
Finally is the remix for the new Chase & Statussingle 'Against All Odds'. I actually went up to the video shoot for this a couple of months back as it was organised by Pav who runs BOSH over in Swindon, probably my favourite residency . We both got far too drunk however and never quite made it in front of the camera at all. Still got pimped up and had a laugh though. Can check the final video here.
Got some heavy new tracks from South Africa to play tomorrow night on the show but this remix from Konfab, who should be dropping his debut solo album on Pioneer Unitsometime soon, came just a bit too late, so here tis for you now.
For those who know the original this is "a dubbed-out and warped electronic hip hop hybid with heavy dancehall subs."
Here's a couple of Dubstep freebies courtesy of Dub Frequency Records head honcho Clone A Side. The label's next digital release is a compilation of DFR artists called 'The Structured LP' which drops on January 5th. Not feeling Hoody too strong on the 1st track, it sounds too much like a standard off the cuff freestyle, but it's cool as a promo.
As I'm sure any regular readers will already be aware, last month we recorded a Welsh Hip-hop mix for new music guru - Rob Da Bank's BBC Radio 1show. If you did happen to miss us showcase the wealth of talent and diversity apparent in the scene in Wales then worry not as here it is in it's full glory. It's still radio friendly but also includes a track at the end which might not be... more is explained after the tracklisting.

Mudmowth's 'Skullcrackology' was chopped from the original mix for being too damn offensive by the BBC in a post Manuelgate environment, but we figure you lot are made of stern enough stuff to handle it. The PLO produced banger was taken from Mudmowth's new 5 track EP 'Circus In The Cemetry' which you can grab now, on collectable white vinyl, complete with cover artwork from the incredible Mister Shrew, from the Associated Minds Store(including a free signed CD copy)or digitally on iTunes.

Big up to Diversify's brother, Reuben. For giving us a heads up on some killer electro-crunk business outta San Francisco – Lazer Sword. You might remember I mentioned that Egadz was playing an in-store with Mochipet for Puma’s 60th Anniversary, well so are these fellas. So if you are near there on 3rd December make sure you check them out.
They did a mix last month for Mary Anne Hobbs after they were recommended to her by Flying Lotus. If you missed it then head over to Satan Loves Breakcore to download RARs of the whole show.
The mighty Tomb Crew just hit up their blog with a new track from DZ, the San Franciscan based Canadian Dubstep maestro who has a load of heavy new tracks and remixes forthcoming that you should definitely be keeping your eyes out for. ‘Be Cool’ could well be the tracks warning message to itself as it tries (unsuccessfully) to contain the aggravated electromagnetic waves seething out of it in a serious bout of robo-rage.
