We're not too sure whether they're trying to inject some conscious Hip-hop flavour into Chicago's Juke-house scene, or possibly the other way round... either way it probably hasn't worked too well. However B.B.U. (Bin-laden Blowin' Up) have come up with some fun post-ironic hybrid party music that fits more with the Diplo minded rather than any strict brackets, and with some straight up infectious tracks set to splatter their debut mixtape, Fear Of A Clear Channel Planet (out March 1st)they could well find favour with those kind of scenesters.

The guys over at Adult Swim who always have an ear for great music have teamed up with the Timbaland co-prduced beatmaking game Beaterator to bring some incredible remixes of Atlanta Hip-hop artists by such global leaders of the new school as Flying Lotus, Hudson Mohawke, Starkey and Dabrye. Here's a player with all the tracks and a few of our choice cuts but you can download the whole lot here.

Those folks at Mad Decent also leaked this remix of the recently incarcerated ATL rapper Gucci Mayne. The track is taken from the forthcoming Diplo mixtape using tracks from Gucci's own Cold War mixtape, switched up by himself and a few friends.

As the summer offically starts pretty miserably weather wise for some people, iamxl drops a brand new mix that makes it all sunshine and beaches with a jacking blend of Electro coated Reggae, Funk, Jazz, Hip-hop and Pop. Although the man from Vancouver has been hitting us up with plenty of his own remixes over the past few months this is his first mixtape outing since last year's Back To Berlin, a most welcome return indeed.

If the recent Bassnectar remix we posted wasn't proof enough that the West Coast is still runnin' tings on the filthy bass ridden digitally mutated Hip-hop tip then we have two more remixes from the region to firmly hit the point home for you.


First up we have a Hollyrock handling of a Tru-skool classic as LA beatmeister Tatelarock takes on Channel Live & KRS One's Mad Izm, sparking it up to date with a little less bounce than the original but plenty of neck snapping punch that puts it safely at the top of our playlist at the moment.

Next up San Fran's an-ten-nae flips the 'surf rock ragga' of the first official leak from the new Major Lazer album (featuring Mr Lexx and Santigold on vocals) into the kind of grimey nastiness that Cyborg Yardies of the future will be doing drive bys to.
