So right, we were going to post our latest mix for you all but as you can still listen to it online for the next 6 days on BBC iPlayer (about 1h41min in) we'll let you all do that first. It's a 20 minute mix for In New 1Xtra DJs We Trust. We were the Welsh representatives so we represented our homeland hard with 100% Welsh beef for your eardrums. What we have got for you this week is a mix that our bass blasting bredren Baobinga recorded for the same show last week. It's straight up and round the bend hyper than hype killer tracks from start to finish; next is from DJ Ames and Mystro, a taster of whom we gave you the other day with his SBTV rhyme. The mix is a kind of best of from the Natural Born Spitta, reminding us that in the last 9 years since we first caught him he's laid down some of the best rhymes out there; then finally Fletcher follows up his Cape Town Is Dope mix with a round the world romp that he originally dropped on Subcity Radio recently (it's also worth checking out the South African House mix just posted over at Blackdown..

In his first official mix for 2 years, Bassnectar comes at us from every direction firing proton pack funk into the speakers and not giving a f**k whether he crosses the streams and lets some big marshmallow bass into the arena. Actually marshmallow makes it sound alot fluffier than it is, this is pure filth with influences flying in from Dubstep, Hip-hop, Drum N Bass, Reggae and that Carnival full of Gypsies that rode into town when you were young. There's some original Bassnectar tracks, some re-edits and some friends along too. So steal a tank, strap a stack of speakers to the side and roll into town blasting for a full force 44 minutes and 25 seconds of heavyweight fun.

As we abstained from last Monday's Mixtape session due to political reasons we have made up for it by giving you a bumper addition this week which includes: our very own Quantum cadet, Monkey with a Dubstep selection he mixed up for 3zee1's show on Sub FM last week; a Take Flight Club mix from Doc Daneeka, who we first came across through his nights at the Monkey Bar in Swansea although we didn't make the link to his latest alias when we first heard Metabeats dropping some of his UK Funkier than though tracks recently; next is Metabeats' Darkhouse Family bredren Don Leisure with the first of a new monthly mix series, dropping some seriosuly tasty Liquid Soul and Future Hip-hop. First up is a new mix from the fellas over at the Rub A Dub Dub site who were kind enough to host pur mix earlier in the week. Far from being a simple scratchy back situation though this is a full phat selection from a truly dope blog blended with love from Decibel, one of the residents over there and deserves to be pumped at the highest available volume. If you're car only has a shitty system, this is the one time when it is morally right to go steal another one. Second is an excellent mini mix that current Bass blog golden boy George Lenton recorded for Bobby Friction's show on the BBC Asian Network which also has a real short snippet from his new remix for our boy Pete Lawrie which is rather huge too. Catch Mr Lenton live on 28th October in Original Mash @ The Lab, Bristol or 18th November & 16th December in SOME @ The Den, London; lastly is a slice of low-fi riding bleep stomping future funk and Hip-hop from Alex B which he recorded for the Brainfeeder crew. We're coming at you BIG for this Monday Mixtape session, no hiding out in the VIP section or in the Basement this is strictly main room madness. Still that's not to say we're munching on cheese sandwiches, there's more than a fair flood of filth in each mix and what really shines through is the marriage, or at least firm f**k buddying, of Dubstep and Hip-hop that is getting more and more incestuous by the minute. It's also good to see Stagga cropping up in each of these. We kick off with two of our solid favourite phat track flingers and end with some new blood. Firstly Troublemaker shows off his finely tuned party startin' skills with some neck snapping favourites mixed up with exclusive acapellas and guest appearances from a slew of emcees, such as Adam Tensta, Hollywood Holt, Micah James, Naptron and The 87 Stick Up Kids; secondly, not only has George Lenton proved to be one of our favourite producers of the past few months but he could well prove to be one of our favourite DJs to, with an excellent new journey through the dirty world of bass. Lastly we have a relative newcomer to the blog, LDFD kicks off with relentlessly big productions before easing your eardrums and opening your braincells ready for the week ahead. Not quite as slick as the other two but some fine selections nonethless.
