Bambooman has been a fringes favourite of ours for a while now but London based Segilola is a new artist for us, one we're more than grateful to King Deluxe for introducing us to and releasing this stunning single, due out in the new year.
Hoping that the rest of her tracks and production choices stand up to this, certainly look forwards to hearing more.
Downright creepy remix of Claire Maguire's already haunting track, 'Paper Thin' from Strange U producer Dr Zygote. Although it hasn't got the space to let the stunning vocals breathe like the original I think the heavier, industrial sounding beats help to underline them even better.
Dr Zygote also released his Grupo Zygote EP with the excellent Black Acre label earlier this month and has an EP on his own Zoot imprint due October 7th. You can grab a free track from the Black Acre EP plus an 'influences' mix below.

Some beautiful heartfelt pop with a lovely crisp static glitch ridden beat from singer / multi instrumentalist To Be Frank from Suffolk, who comes from a long line of musicians (his great grandfather was taught to play piano by Chopin) and has been getting a fair amount of well deserved props from all over since his first track 'If You Love Her'. If you missed out on that (as we did admittedly) then it's definitely worth a play too.
Individually, our boys Stagga & Monky are two of the country's finest producers. Together they're insane... literally. Before Monky finally drops his lifelong moniker to become elmono, the pair have released a new 4 track EP of bass heavy, glitched up goodness. In Stagga's words "its a bit mental but does have its more soft and romantic moments."
Okay we know you're all still waiting for the new blog and getting your teeth into some proper posts but we'd like to think the Radio Show is a healthy snack in the meantime. Rather apt that it took us til St David's Day to upload our Welsh bass music mix for BBC 1Xtra to Mixcloud. If you haven't downloaded it yet take 20 minutes to go have a listen. Nearly alll the artists are from our home town of Cardiff and this scene is buzzing right now. There's no 'sound' to our city as such, but that diversity is what makes it so good. We shall all be back in the motherland next Monday for a gig at Buffalo with Rusko so if you're in the area make sure you reach.
Doshy has been passing us some killer crunkesque tech-step recently from his secret lab in Berlin. We're loving his sound at the moment and seems like the feeling may be mututal as our boys Monkey and Stagga are all up in this new mix from him. Check it out and make sure you hunt down releases from his Robox-Neotech label (such as the latest bleeptastic Who Is Hudson River from Zet). This mix is pretty much what he's playing out at the moment but 'without the rewinds'.

First up is a titan clash between Mochipet and Kraddy as the Glitch Mobster takes on a track from the Glitch Godzilla's Master P on Atari album. He's not the only one either, Master P On Atari Transformed Vol. 1 which is out now on Daly City Records also features the likes of Restiform Bodies, S.P.E.C.T.R.E. and Sub Swara.

Daly City explores something of a deeper sensitive side to their soul with their new signing, London producer MusSck. Still keeping it glitchy and in the realm of Hip-hop's cyborg reconstruction, this album is more subtle then previous label releases, conjuring up open rolling virtual plains to wander through. Playful yet emotional, there appears to be a fairly comprehensible story being told from track to track and chapter to chapter, let's hope there's many more volumes to come.

On a similar tip to the AK Kids EP we posted recently, Akira Kiteshi once more eschews the big brutal bass sound for a more atmospheric soundscape created from looped up reel to reels, outboard synths and old jazz vinyl, and again recorded in one take.

Much as we love a good speaker stomping beat and a gut wrenching bassline, it has to be said we were pleasantly surprised that the 3 track Free EP we just caught off the AK Kids (the original Akira Kiteshi pairing of Tommy Forrest and Steven Hyslop) is actually pretty far removed from Tommy's solo stuff. More of an atmospheric journey, a rhythmical soundscape of collected sounds and complimentary frequencies underlined with lush synths and overlayed with static, zen as f**k and recorded in just 3 hours in one take.

Props to Adam Walton who had us in for a mix a couple of months back. Like many young people his age, Rustie has an unhealthy taste in bland saccharin RnB singers. Luckily for him he's using the well founded therapy of creating something good from the bad, or is it rather the opposite and infact he's created something nasty as hell from the nice and sweet? We're not entirely sure whether it's Keyshia, Ke$ha Keisha or even erm Keisha, or some strange hybrid of them all but either way they get a Rhianna style beat down from the Glasweigan baller.
