As this is mixed by Plastician and features artists such as Benga, Caspa, Starkey and Virus Syndicate, not entirely sure what constitutes it as an LA Dubstep album but maybe we're nit-picking and infact it's just an overview of what's big in LA, and make no mistake Dubstep is big in LA. If you needed any more convincing look at the list of West Coast Hip-hop big hitters who are jumping on board. Ras Kass, Xzibit and Big Snoop Dogg himself. We're not entirely sure who the Cashmere Agency are, and in which way they are presenting Mr. Grustle & Tha Russian but it does present a new era for Dubstep in the US.

Bedlam bring another massive line up to Cardiff which includes our very own Monkey & Stagga. It’s rare that promoters are brave enough to put on line ups like this in the city so this night needs to be supported to make sure it continues. These few tunes should give you an idea of who we shall definitely be checking out on the night.

The name kinda says it all with this one, Mad Professor trying to fly the Tardis on Ketamine.

There's something magical and mystical about this one, the subtlest of the Eastern flavours in this selection.

This was originally supposed to appear on Eastern Drum and Breakz Vol 2 but was just too damn heavy compared to the rest of the album. check out his more laid back Don Leisure alter ego as well.

Toddla T is definitely the new king of Rudeboy Electro styles. This has got that classic UK Garage feel.

Well overdue for a spot of Dubstep methinks.


First up is this wicked version (not strictly a remix as he hasn't taken any samples from the original) of Robert Miles' 'Children' from HxdB that took me back to being young and dancing all night to dodgy trance music on cheap speed... thanks for that.

Next is a fairly new Dubstep producer (in that he's recently moved to Dubstep from Hip-hop) called Ill Boding. He's obviously still developing a sound but definitely has some potential.

Finally is the remix for the new Chase & Status single 'Against All Odds'. I actually went up to the video shoot for this a couple of months back as it was organised by Pav who runs BOSH over in Swindon, probably my favourite residency . We both got far too drunk however and never quite made it in front of the camera at all. Still got pimped up and had a laugh though. Can check the final video here.
