F**k Thugstep

It’s about time I hit you with another mixtape. Rock The Dub has been pivotal in both pushing the Thugstep sound, and inspiring DJs such as myself to get involved, so it was only right that we teamed up to put out a mix for the end of 2009. Things got even better when Jenai over at Ego Thieves got involved (props for the artwork!).

The end result? A heavy mix of Dubstep/Grime/Crunk, with some exclusive refixes, as well as the ones you know and love...

Whether you love it or hate it, THUGSTEP is here to stay. Forgive me if I sound big headed, but I’ve seen the damage that it can do in rave; and with numerous DJs across the London scene and the UK supporting my blends, it’s great to see people embrace this type of sound. I'm sure DJ Nappy would be proud.

Download the mixtape HERE, turn your speakers up, and throw some bows in your living room...

hey man I'm a dubstep DJ in Beijing, but I'm looking to start dropping some more thugstep over here. Could you suggest where I could get my hands on these tracks?

alot of these are DJ Cable's own mash up's but there are a number of Thugstep tracks both within these pages and on Hype Machine, probably good a place as any to start. If you type in some rappers names and 'remix' you might get lucky.

ah cheers mate, yeah I managed to get a number of them by trawling through Rock The Dub's posts. They just love hip hop over here, but I want to see what they think of some chronic bass wobbles mixed in.
