Look out for the debut album from Ibeyi, released 16th February 2015 on XL Recordings

Long hailed as the king of Glitch by many, the elusive wonder that is Tipper returns with a beautifully crafted downtempo electronic landscape. There are no bangers here but the tracks are both tougher and more delicate than many of his contemporaries. A stunning album that deserves space to soak up.

Incidentally Tipper will be making an appearance at BoomTown Fair this year, definitely a set not to be missed.

None of us have fully recovered from the launch party of Snowskull's new online enriched arts project (and our first official release in a long time). Ridiculous fun was had in Cardiff that night, and for some nights afterwards, not to mention the incredible sets from Jauge, Blured, Dubs, Owls and Daniel Avery.

The release is the soundtrack to Snowskull's exhibition and was created by some of the above alongside Snowskull himself. There's a link to the music below but you'd be foolish not to experience the whole exhibition 'All Great Thoughts Are Conceived By Walking'.

Also XLR8R are giving away a free instrumental copy of the Snowskull & Jauge track.

Very much excited at the prospect of a Mo Kolours album. His tracks are little slices of sunshine that keep pulling me in. Just pre-ordered a digital copy, though love the artwork (by Miju Lee) so sorely tempted to go back for the vinyl / tshirt option. Order yourself a copy here, it drops on 24th March.

Sweet Dreamz Folks

New video from soulful electronic duo, K.Raydio and Psymun, whose beautiful debut album, LucidDreamingSkylines was a late entry for one of last year's best releases. Still fresh so if you haven't caught it yet then peep the video and head over to their Bandcamp.

Relative new kids on the block, BLDG5 have just released a mighty fine compilation called 'Ground Floor', which includes long time Chrome Kids favourites such as Sun Glitters and Free The Robots as well as a bunch of new guys on our radar who have contributed the best selection of tracks we've heard in a long time. Below are some of our favourites but you can grab the whole album here.

We shall definitely be keeping an eye on this label in the future.

We've been waiting a while for the new EP from our boy Until The Ribbon Breaks and although the UK might have to wait a little longer for an official release, his new home in the States has finally seen the release of 'A Taste Of Silver'. This is the latest video from the EP, a collage of Baz Luhrmann's 'Romeo & Juliet'. Of course if you're in the UK and don't want to wait, you can always head to his Soundcloud and pick up the tracks for free..

Future Classic release a sinister video for this beautiful but brooding tune from fellow Sydney dwellers, Seekae.

To further prove their impeccable taste, on October 7th, Future Classic are also releasing an EP from our boys Bodhi. You can preorder the vinyl here.

Downright creepy remix of Claire Maguire's already haunting track, 'Paper Thin' from Strange U producer Dr Zygote. Although it hasn't got the space to let the stunning vocals breathe like the original I think the heavier, industrial sounding beats help to underline them even better.

Dr Zygote also released his Grupo Zygote EP with the excellent Black Acre label earlier this month and has an EP on his own Zoot imprint due October 7th. You can grab a free track from the Black Acre EP plus an 'influences' mix below.

Beware The Blue Bunnies

We're already fans of ProF's laid back productions here at Chrome Kids but think this has to be our favourite so far. It's sundown at the beach meets sunrise on Mars, a beautiful liquid crunching digital Hip-hop funk fest.

This Superorganism Is Certainly A Grower

Don't know quite why we've sat on this beautifully sun glazed off-key Hip-hop adventure from Canadian beatsmith ProF for so long but you'd all better get a move on if you want to pick this up for free as you've only got til Saturday. Here's a few of our choice cuts but you can pick the whole thing up here.

What's Inside A Mind?

Great experimental Hip-hop set here from INSIDEaMIND. Which was first broadcast on Toronto's Student Radio, CIUT as part of the city's Nuit Blanche Art Festival. The majority of the records used came from the station's basement collection and were sourced only the day before. Out of these INSIDEaMIND have created a fantastically tripped out soundscape where epic distorted Rock guitar journeys meet firing drum shots and scratched up jazz horns. Thanks to ProF for schooling us on these guys.

Weather Or Not

With the weather here in Wales being as unpredictable as always, not sure whether to put up a a bright and sunny track or a more melancholic rainy one... so here's both.

First up is from George Lenton, who some might recognise from the dope MGMT and The King Blues remixes we included on our Hulk Hop Vs Crunk Rock mixtape. This is rather different to those. Although it's not necessarily happy, there's definitely a spring chirpiness to it. Vocals here are from Liz Lawrence whose solo acoustic tracks are definitely worth checking out too.

Next is actually from a Hungarian Indie / Dance band we've been listening to called Mizantrop. Some great stuff but this moody instrumental track in particular caught our Chrome plated ear drums.

Stretched Latex

This glitched up creeping remix from the Danish downtempo stepper Eloquent takes the urgency out of Mr Oizo's original but leaves it no less sinister.
