Moduloktopus was quite possibly our favourite Bass music producer of last year with more killer bootlegs then we could keep up with, mixing up Grime, Trap, Dubstep, Drum N Bass, Jungle and Juke influences but managing to make it sound more soulful and exciting than many of the others in those fields. Now he's offering his whole back catalogue of work for free download, so we suggest you grab it quick from the link below before he changes his mind.
When it comes to the heavier end of Bass Music, very few can touch Starkey in my opinion. He's made consistently huge tunes for a while now, some truly defying all boundaries and pushing things to the limit. This is definitely one of his more accessible tunes and truth be told as a Starkey tune for me it doesn't quite make the grade, however as a great pop tune then it's head and shoulders above most of this kind so definitely deserves props. Plus the video's great, always love Starkey's explorations in Space, can someone please give hi ma Sci-Fi film to score.
Individually, our boys Stagga & Monky are two of the country's finest producers. Together they're insane... literally. Before Monky finally drops his lifelong moniker to become elmono, the pair have released a new 4 track EP of bass heavy, glitched up goodness. In Stagga's words "its a bit mental but does have its more soft and romantic moments."
Been a while since we posted anybody else's dope videos up here so...
We've always had love for the Seclusiasis label on here but this video from Warsnare and Fille de la Lune properly blew me away. Not heard the EP yet but I'm off to get a copy as soon as I've written this post.
Dark moody swagged out business from Black Dahlia, a dope new project from one of our favourite producers, Blue Daisy and rapper Hey!Zeus.
This is probably our favourite thing right now. Pure sunshine vibes from our South Wales compadres, Metabeats, Vanity Jay and the Associated Minds family. 80 Boogie Meets 90s RNB, Meets Future Funk... and that's just the video. Complete win.
This SOPHIE track hasn't got a video to go with it as such but as their only sending out YouTube promos and I'm feeling it, here it is.
He might be the silent partner on the Chrome Kids Radio Show but as well as being a damn fine artist, Snowskull is one of the family's true musical connoisseurs. Here he compiles his Top 10 Tunes for 2012.

Okay we know you're all still waiting for the new blog and getting your teeth into some proper posts but we'd like to think the Radio Show is a healthy snack in the meantime. Here's the latest with new tunes from: Alby Daniels, Pair Of Arrows, Torus, John Talabot, Sun Glitters, Monky, Evian Christ and many more.
It's all change up on here, we'll be back in a couple of months but we're still active on our Facebook Groups, If you haven't joined any of them then this is the kind of thing you've been missing recently.
Remember that scene in Blade Runner where Daryll Hannah starts flipping out and nearly f**ks Rutger Hauer into oblivion, saving Harrison Ford a shed load of hassle? No nor do we but something tells me that’s what happens in the ‘Ghettozoid Director’s re-cut’ and this is the soundtrack to that very scene. Vangelis would probably be crying into his synthesiser if he heard this... or not. This is driving robo-booty bass music of the highest order and is out next week on One4Ho.
On the flip side evil genius Silverman has taken control of the 'Boy Toy' and has pushed it to the limits so it’s bordering on malfunction. It seems like he’s trying to use it to take over the planet, and he might just succeed.
If you're anywhere near the Sarf Larndon area tomorrow night (Saturday 9th April), go buy the One4Ho girls a drink down at the Brixton Bar & Grill. In return they shall play you much good tuneage, seems a fair swap.
Our amigette Ghettozoid hit us up with this Valentines mix she did for her group Bubbz & The Black Notez, yes we realise that if you're in the UK Valentines only has about 35 minutes left and in some places it's done and dusted but posting now kind of accentuates the fact that this mix is far too good to be tied down to just one day. However it is also great if you happen to be tied down right now (see what we did there) so fire up the speakers and get ready for this freaky fun mix that is a far more considerate gift than chocolates and roses, who says we don't love you.

She also dropped us off her new single 'Boy Toy' which will have a vinyl release on One4Ho on March 7th, we shall be reporting back soon as we've had a butchers.
In fine DIY form, the fellas over at bassmusicblog have started up their own label and just dropped their first release. Not only can you pick up the release itself, a deep and atmospheric rolling double header of Dubstep freshness from Setspeed, but you can also buy the individual stems for laptop DJs to play about with live, or any of you wanting to get on the remix tip. You can pick it up at all the usual outlets or from their Bandcamp page. For a taster check this killer vid from Nic Hamilton. It looks strikingly similar to something I saw whilst trying to close my eyes and sleep after taking too many trippy pills once actually.
This week on the Chrome Mansion's stereo are our Swansea bredren Doc Daneeka has a new EP ready to drop but before that hits the streets he's the latest heartbeat in FACT Magazine's pulse locating finger mixes; on the lower reaches of the BPM scale, Candian Turbo Crunk pioneer Hovatron has put together a phat selection of neck snapping beats for the Lowriders Collective (we should be playing with those guys in Bristol sometime in April so look out for that one); and Baobingaproves his bass seeking, floor filling prowess once again with a big bag a dubz n stuff from his Build label and assorted high ranking amigos.

Those ever prolific connoisseurs of Bass I.D. & Baobinga have just dropped a killer album of tuneage that covers those areas of speaker destroying music that are hard to pin down to one genre (unless you want to bung it all under the umbrella of Funkycrunkbreakstep... but that's just silly). You can pick up the whole lot for whatever you wish to pay (all proceeds to charity) over at their excellent Bass Music Blog but here's a couple of our favourites.
Also from the Bass Music crew isHeavyFeet who launch a new label this week called Stamp! Beats. To celebrate they're giving away this Roisin Murphy refix.
Daly City explores something of a deeper sensitive side to their soul with their new signing, London producer MusSck. Still keeping it glitchy and in the realm of Hip-hop's cyborg reconstruction, this album is more subtle then previous label releases, conjuring up open rolling virtual plains to wander through. Playful yet emotional, there appears to be a fairly comprehensible story being told from track to track and chapter to chapter, let's hope there's many more volumes to come.
You can buy The Land Of Animation now here, but to give you a taster here's one of the tracks plus a promo mix to check out.

Seems that some world class players are congregating in South Africa this year, and no it's not football we're talking about. Here's two of their star strikers, Liver and Disco Izrael.
